Traditionally health care uniforms are made from the cheapest conventionally grown cotton and man made polyester. At Studio Scrubs we have a vision; we chose organic fabrics for our collection of Health Care Uniforms because of the many benefits over conventional textiles. In our line of health care uniforms we use Bamboo, Soy & Organic Cotton. These fabrics are softer, better for the environment and they carry unique performance enhancing qualities not found in conventional fabrics. Studio Scrubs Health Care Uniforms are the best quality, most comfortable scrubs available. The uniforms are manufactured sweatshop free in Vancouver, Canada.

Bamboo

Bamboo is an ideal fabric for health care environments. Bamboo is a strong, easy to grow plant that requires no chemicals or irrigation other than the rain that falls from the sky. As a fabric, bamboo is very soft and it has inherent anti-microbial properties so that even after 50 washes, bamboo will still be anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Bamboo is hypoallergenic and has an excellent wicking ability that will pull moisture away from the skin so that it can evaporate. It dries faster than cotton and has natural UV protection. Bamboo also resists wrinkling without the addition of formaldehyde or other chemicals traditionally added to scrubs to give them the anti-wrinkle properties. Bamboo is a readily renewable resource that does not require pesticides or even fertilizers to grow. Good for your skin and the environment! With these features, we hope to see bamboo set a new standard in the health care uniform industry.

Organic Cotton

Conventional cotton is one of the most intensely sprayed crops in the world. Nearly a third of a pound of chemicals are used to grow enough cotton for 1 T-shirt! Organic cotton is grown with no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers of any kind. Our organic health care uniforms will feel better against your skin. People with allergies, chemical sensitivity, or sensitive skin can especially benefit as organic fabrics don’t have any harmful toxic residues. We consciously chose premium organic cotton with a touch of spandex for shape retention. Studio Scrubs Health Care Uniforms not only look and feel great but will contribute to a healthier earth!

Soy

Soy is referred to as the fabric of the future. Fabrics made from soy are a big step up from conventional fabrics, especially in the health care uniform industry! Soybean fibers have an outstanding anti-crease effect and they are incredibly soft and silky, otherwise known as vegetable cashmere. Soy is easily washed, dries quickly and stays stable with minimal shrinkage. Spandex is added to our fabric for stretch and shape retention. Studies demonstrate that soy is anti-bacterial, has a natural UV resistance, and great moisture absorption so you always feel fresh and dry! This new fabric combines comfort, quality and fashion with the added benefit of being a renewable resource! This made soy an obvious choice for our line of scrubs.
